Best Stainless Steel Turkey Fryer Pots

The best stainless steel turkey fryer pots for Thanksgiving, checked for stainless pots, baskets and racks, with sizing tips and outdoor frying safety basics.

The Bayou Classic 1118 32-quart stainless fryer is the best stainless steel turkey fryer pot for most Thanksgiving cooks. It pairs a 32-quart stainless pot with a perforated basket, poultry rack, lift hook and thermometer, and its maker pages describe stainless steel for each part that touches the bird or the oil.

Stainless costs more than aluminum, and the pot works as a stockpot or seafood boiler the rest of the year. The two other picks below suit a kit with extra accessories (Concord) or a two-pot set for turkey plus fish and fries (Pipopa). If you only want a big everyday pot, start with our stainless steel stockpots instead.

This guide covers pots, baskets, racks and hooks only. It does not review burners, and it is not a frying tutorial. Read the safety section before you buy, because frying a turkey in oil is the riskiest way to cook one.

How we chose

This is a research-based comparison, not a hands-on or side-by-side test. We did not fry a turkey in any of these pots. We read the exact Amazon listings and maker pages, pulled ratings and review counts on October 23, 2026, and kept only products where the pot, basket or rack is described as stainless steel.

We dropped any pot whose basket material the seller never stated, because the basket touches the bird. Kits that include a propane burner were judged on the pot and accessories alone. Aluminum fryer kits were excluded, since this site is about stainless steel.

1. Best overall: Bayou Classic 1118 32-Quart Stainless Fryer

Bayou Classic is the pick for most households because the whole fryer set is stainless and it has the strongest track record in reviews. Maker pages show a 32-quart stainless stockpot, a perforated basket, a poultry rack, a lift hook and a stainless fry thermometer. The listing also names a vented lid and a seasoning injector.

The Amazon rating is 4.7 from 2,504 ratings as of October 23, 2026, a much larger sample than the other two picks.

2. Best kit with accessories: Concord Heavy Duty Stainless Steel Turkey Fryer Kit

Concord sells the pot together with a lot of the small gear. The listing describes a 32-quart pot made from 19-gauge stainless steel with a max fill line, plus a rack, hook, frying thermometer, slicer knife and heat-resistant gloves. Concord says the pot and accessories are all stainless steel.

The Amazon rating is 4.7 from 63 ratings as of October 23, 2026, so the sample is small. One reviewer said the turkey stand came apart easily, which is worth checking when it arrives. Concord’s own site showed the kit as backordered when we researched it, while Amazon listed it as in stock.

3. Best two-pot set: Pipopa 30-Quart Turkey and 10-Quart Fish Fryer

Pipopa suits a household that also fries fish, wings or fries. The kit has a 30-quart pot with a 20-quart basket and a 10-quart pot with its own basket. The listing states stainless steel for the pot and basket, the lifting hook and the turkey rack, and says the 30-quart pot handles a turkey up to 20 pounds. The cover is 600D Oxford fabric, not metal.

This kit also ships with a propane burner and stand. We did not review those, and a burner is the part of any fryer that most needs careful reading of the maker’s instructions. The rating is 4.8 from 56 ratings, and the stainless claim here rests on the listing, so treat it as listing evidence only. One reviewer said the pot bottoms felt thin compared with the sides.

  • Pot, basket, hook and turkey rack listed as stainless steel
  • Skimmer and fabric cover included

Pros

  • Two pot sizes in one kit
  • Highest rating of the three picks
  • Listing names stainless steel for pot, basket and rack

Cons

  • Stainless claim is listing evidence only
  • Small review base
  • One reviewer called the pot bottoms thin

Considerations

Best for cooks who want a turkey pot and a smaller fish or fries pot. Read the burner's instructions separately.

Food-contact materials

A stainless exterior does not prove that the basket, rack and hook are stainless too, so we checked each part that touches the bird or the oil.

What size fryer pot fits your turkey

Pick the pot first, then check the bird against the maker’s weight limit. A 30 to 32 quart pot is the usual size for a home turkey, and the right oil level depends on the bird, not on the pot’s brim. Pipopa’s listing says its 30-quart pot takes a turkey up to 20 pounds. Check the weight rating for the other two on the product page before you order.

Leave headroom. Oil rises when the bird goes in, so a pot that looks big enough empty can still boil over. A max fill line, like the one on the Concord pot, helps but does not replace measuring.

If you only roast, a stainless steel roasting pan is the oven route, and our guide to turkey lifters covers moving a cooked bird.

Turkey fryer safety basics

Frying a turkey in oil starts fires when it goes wrong, and most of the common causes are avoidable. This section sums up public fire-safety guidance, and it does not replace your fryer’s manual.

  • Fry outdoors only, on a flat surface, away from structures, wooden decks and covered patios, according to the National Park Service’s Fire Prevention 52 guidance. The same guidance rules out the garage, and the U.S. Fire Administration adds at least 10 feet from the house and never under roof eaves.
  • Thaw the turkey completely and pat it dry. Ice or water that meets hot oil can cause a boil-over.
  • Find the oil level before you heat anything. Put the turkey in the empty pot, add water until the bird is covered, and mark the level. The U.S. Fire Administration’s fryer safety sheet describes this water test. Then lift the bird out and dry the pot and the bird completely before the oil goes in.
  • Never leave a hot fryer unattended, and keep children and pets at least 3 feet away.

Follow the burner and pot instructions that came with your fryer for temperatures, lowering the bird and what to do if oil ignites.

Care and cleaning after frying

Let the oil cool completely before moving it. Wash the pot, basket and rack in hot soapy water, since cooled fryer oil leaves a film. Dry stainless well, and use a non-scratch scrubber on any stuck-on spots. Our guide to removing burnt oil from stainless steel covers stubborn residue.

A stainless pot that survives frying season can go back to boiling stock and seafood. Long tongs also help with fried food, and our pick of stainless steel tongs covers length and lock design.
